The problem

Building a directory network across 6 verticals in Hong Kong from scratch, with zero API access to data sources.

What we did

One Astro codebase, SITE_SLUG env var controls everything. Knowledge Vaults (Brain-like atomic MD notes with wikilinks). Scraped 2,100+ companies. SQLite data layer. Deployed to Cloudflare Pages.

Scope

Architecture, scraping, content pipeline, 6 deployments

Result

6 live sites, 730 pages built in 1.15s, 18 tables, 7,448 rows. New vertical = 0 code changes.

A directory network covering 6 industries in Hong Kong. One codebase serves all verticals. Knowledge Vaults store atomic notes with wikilinks that compile into articles at build time. SQLite + JSON source data. Cloudflare Pages deployment.
